Goods worth ` 3.80 L seized in raid in Mapusa, Arpora

Goods worth Rs 3.80 lakh were seized by officials of the legal metrology department in a raid in Mapusa and Arpora on Thursday.
In the raid, 45 packages of health supplements and seven laptops were seized under the packaged commodities rules and two dual peg measures were seized under the enforcement rules.
Further, the officials also booked three cases on packaged commodities and two cases of enforcement on peg measures.
The legal metrology officials informed that the packages of health supplements did not have name and complete address of importer, date of import and retail sale price while the laptops did not have date of import.
The raid was conducted by Gulam Gulbang, Inspector Legal Metrology, Mapusa along with Nitin P Purushan, Inspector Legal Metrology, Bicholim.
G A Gawas, D V Shet and Gurunath Naik assisted the officials in the raid.
